In the summer of 1999, koffert opened up in Björbo, Dalarna. The dream of opening a shop of my own, filled with inspiration and beautiful things finally came true. Since then, we have also managed two years in Sälen, 2002 – 2005, which was both exciting and fruitful. When my family moved from Dalarna to Stockholm in spring 2004, I started planning for opening yet another shop, in the big city. In the autumn of 2005 our shop at Humlegårdsgatan 11 was ready, and we opened up our little city shop. In February 2008 I got a request and an offer I couldn’t resist.. - Did we want to open up koffert at Arlanda Terminal 5? - Yes, of course! Always prepared for new challenges and exciting adventures, we put our teeth into this project and opened up in Mars -09. Two years later, exactly, in March 2011, we said good by and closed down this shop. Sad, but at the same time very nice. Economical crisis with less flights as a result, ash clouds and tricky working hours made it difficult for us, and we realized that at some point you have to realize that it's simply too much. Now we are going to focus on the shop in town, at Humlegårdsgatan 11, and on our web shop, where you can order great parts of our large collection. |
